Organising events

Manage ticket types

Configure tiers, pricing, capacity, and resale for your event.

Ticket types are the tiers buyers choose from on your event page. Most events run 1–3 tiers: General Admission, VIP, Early Bird.

Adding a ticket type

Open your event's Edit tab, scroll to Tickets, and click Add ticket type. Each tier has:

  • Name — shown to buyers (e.g. "General Admission")
  • Price — in your default currency
  • Capacity — number available (or unlimited)
  • Pricing modeFIXED (buyer pays what you set) or ADJUSTABLE (buyer picks an amount at or above your minimum)
  • Resale allowed — toggle that lets buyers list the ticket on the in-app resale marketplace
  • Resale cap — optional maximum ask price when resale is allowed

Adjustable-price tickets

Set pricing mode to ADJUSTABLE to offer:

  • A minimum (floor — the lowest a buyer can pay)
  • A suggested amount (shown as the default at checkout)

Useful for sliding-scale community events, pay-what-you-can shows, and donation add-ons.

Platform fee handling

Each event chooses how the platform fee is applied:

  • PASS_THROUGH — fee added on top of your price (buyer pays it)
  • ABSORB — fee comes out of your ticket price (you receive less per ticket)

Change this in the event's advanced settings.

Editing after sales open

Most fields stay editable, with two constraints:

  • You cannot reduce capacity below the number already sold
  • Reducing a price triggers partial refunds automatically for buyers who paid more

Price increases only apply to future buyers — existing ticket holders keep the price they paid.
