Where is this event? Hidden locations and the address reveal
Some events hide their exact address until close to showtime — here's when and how ticket holders get it.
Some events — usually house shows and private venues — don't show their exact address publicly. Instead of a pin, the map shows a shaded circle around the general area, or no map at all with just a neighbourhood or city name.
That's deliberate: the organiser has obscured the location, and the exact address unlocks for ticket holders only at a set reveal time.
Before the reveal
The event page shows the obscured view plus a notice like "Exact address unlocks {date} for ticket holders." That date is the reveal time the organiser chose — anywhere from the moment of purchase to a custom date, with "24 hours before start" being typical.
If you buy before the reveal, your ticket confirmation email shows the same locked notice instead of a street address. Your ticket itself is completely normal — see digital tickets.
At the reveal time
Once the reveal time passes, every ticket holder gets:
- An in-app notification — "Location revealed: {event}" with the full address. This always arrives; you can review it any time at /account/notifications.
- An email — "The location for {event} is now live" — with the address, a map link, and a directions link.
The exact address also appears on the event page itself from that moment on.
The address isn't showing for me
- The reveal time hasn't passed yet — check the date in the notice on the event page.
- You're not signed in — the event page only shows the exact address to signed-in ticket holders. Sign in with the account you bought with.
- You don't hold a ticket — the exact address is never shown publicly, even after the reveal time. Saving or following an event isn't enough.
- The email is missing — check spam, and check the in-app notification at /account/notifications, which is always delivered. Your notification settings control the other channels.
